[Moving forward]

Well it’s been an interesting 18 months, British Canoeing have supported me beyond words can explain how thankful I am for keeping me on the right path. It's been a tough time on and off the water for me. Finding out my mum was ill was not easy and the distance from home was even harder in this situation, along with my injury and finding out what I want in life alongside canoeing: there have been a lot of big decisions. I've felt supported from all staff members throughout this process and their belief in me and my potential has inspired and helped me push on when I've lost focus. I'm very grateful of their help.

I feel through the process of it all I'm mentally and physically stronger as a person and paddler, picking up useful skills along the way which I will use in the future. It's fuelled my passion and made me realise how much I want to succeed in the sport and how much I need to work for it, which I'm committed to doing. I'm in a great place for moving forward and I can't wait to hit winter hard with dedication to clear objectives, splitting my time between Nottingham and Lee Valley. Over the last few months it's been good to feel training sore rather than injury sore.
