A CHANGE OF SCENERY

So I took to the hills for a change.
Every year I head up to Achmelvich with the family for a week of Scottish hills, sea, sand and whatever weather is thrown our way. This year we weren’t quite so lucky with a lot of grey days. But all in all, the west coast is my paradise away from canoe slalom.
In such a competitive sport it’s great to have downtime and immerse myself in other hobbies.
As a youngster I’ve always loved the outdoors and have been active all my life. I started hill walking when I was 5. Not out of choice but by my torturous parents – joking – I love how my parents have brought me up and introduced me into so many activities. Alongside our activities we visit the same – few – coffee shops every year. It’s just not the same without complete the mandatory TO DO LIST of places to visit and people to see.
